Arab Democracy Foundation’s Statement - Egypt's Youth Revolution
Doha, 03 February 2011
The brave Egyptian youth of all political, social, economic, and religious factions, continue their massive revolution, in a civilized and perseverant way, to achieve their legitimate rights to freedom, dignity and social justice, as reflected in their March of a Million on Tuesday 1 February 2011.
In this context, the Arab Democracy Foundation, and in line with its mission and objectives, conveys the following:
First: its full admiration of the Egyptian people’s uprising, its total agreement with their legitimate demands, and its commend of their civilized behavior and their heroic determination for a constructive change.
Second: its denunciation of the Egyptian regime’s position in refusing to respond to the people’s legitimate demands and in being incapable of grasping the Truth and History, as well as the dire consequences on the necessity to resort to the will of the people for a peaceful transition of power and the building of a democratic society.
Third: its call upon the Egyptian regime to accept immediately the Egyptian people’s demands for a genuine and complete social, economic, and political change.
Fourth: its plea to all regional and international organizations for an effective solidarity with the Egyptian people’s revolution and their legitimate demands for democracy and social justice and a better future.
Fifth: its belief that Egypt's youth revolution is an expression of the aspirations of all the Arab masses for freedom, justice, social development and equality, and that thwarting its process is against the masses’ legitimate right to emancipation from tyranny and injustice.
And that the people’s will can never be defeated…
