Training of Trainers on Election Monitoring
ADF organized a training course in partnership with the Human Development Association to prepare instructors in the field of election monitoring. This course is considered a continuation of ADF’s plan of action in supporting the process of democratic transition in the Arab Republic of Egypt, especially with regards to observing, following, and monitoring elections to insure fairness and freedom, and to promote the participation of Egyptian youth in various fields.
The course focuses on control mechanisms which are inevitably necessary to guard the gains of the Egyptian revolution so that the participants can work with complete neutrality and transparency as part of the monitoring process of the upcoming elections for the Shura Council, local councils, and presidential elections. These mechanisms will also block any attempt to falsify the will of the voters to choose representatives that will express their interest and guard their future, as well as obstruct the erroneous practices of some of the candidates.
The course included three workshops which were based on three topics. First topic: Training of Trainers- Second topic: the electoral process and its mechanisms- Third topic: Practical training.
